tata jagriti yarta
today we had the screening of the tata jagriti yarta documentary film in
assosciation with cnbc tv 18.it was an amazingly life changing experience for
the 350 yatris picked from all over india.they started their tour in mumbai and travelled all over india from dec 24th to jan 11th studying the social
entreprenuership.First they visited tcs techno park in trivandrum and then
they headed to aravind eye care in puducherry.after that they all were excited to meet r.ilango in puduchery village in tamil nadu,who transformed an entire village using his business model.then they visited aware group in karnataka.after that they traveled thru the lenght and breadth of orrissa and got the first hand experience of a rural indian village by visiting gram vikas and understanding their model.along they way they even visited hyderabad and then headed to rajasthan.there they met “the Bunker Roy” and studied the model of the bare foot college.finally they travelled towards lucknow and visited SEWA. they did a bit of sight-seeing too by visiting the monuments in nawab ka seher and clicked a picture at bhulbhulaiyya and headed back to their origin mumbai central.all the yatris had formed a strong bond among themselves and they all were in tears at the very thought of leaving each other.at all the places they visited and all the learning imparted was about to how serve the society or give back to the society and make it a better place.it truly was an inspirational,motivational , tremendous learning and life changing experience.
