I read this amazing magazine called salon-international ‘s first edition in indian sub-continent.I liked the quality and the content which is so much better thn the indian beauty, health and fitness magazines.I found these really interesting

home remedies for reducing under eye dark circles
1. apply a little coconut oil and massage tenderly under the eyes for 10 mins.
2. mix a little honey in milk and apply this mixture under the eyes, leave for 5 mins and massage for another 5 mins.

a concealer can used as a quick fix when there is no time to get ready for the party.but, the best cure is a sound,deep sleep of at least 8 hours which shows the glow on your face and in your eyes too!

:: Coriander leaf massage for your lips makes them soft and rosy.
:: Expectant mother should drink 600-900ml of milk a day or substitute with cheese, 30gms of which is equal to 200ml milk.
:: Methi and Turmeric stop acid buildup, and stimulate the flow of digestive juices. So add some more to your meals for better digestion.
:: To heal sores in the mouth, drink two to three teaspoons of honey every day.
:: Olive oil can be applied regularly on feet for a softer feel.
:: Prevent a Heart Attack- Eating a healthy breakfast (Cereal, Oats, Porridge etc) every morning makes you less likely to suffer a heart attack.
::Body building tip- Take whey protein shake and a single banana within 15 minutes of work out session.

world’s most expensive saree ! April 30, 2009

How often have you come across a Rs. 40 lakh ($100,000) silk saree?

Chennai Silks , a textile unit has come up with one of its kind and it is seeking an unmistakable entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most unique and expensive saree.

The exceptionally stunning saree is meticulously woven with 12 precious stones and metals to depict 11 of Raja Ravi Verma’s popular paintings. Explicitly projected is

‘Lady Musicians’ , one of the painter’s very famous works that displays women belonging to diverse cultural backgrounds.

Besides, the border of the saree pictures 10 other paintings of the artist that pays tribute to 20th century artist.
The best part of the saree being that the women in the paintings are intricately hand-woven and beautified with jewels of gold, diamond, platinum, silver, ruby, emerald, yellow sapphire, sapphire, cat’s eye, topaz, pearl and corals.

Already in the Limca Book of Records, this 40 lakh saree will be the first silk saree that required the use of 7,440 jacquard hooks and 66,794 cards during the weaving process. Moreover, a group of consummate workers took nearly 4,680 hours

Lip Care

  • You can mix one-tablespoon cranberry sauce juice with two tablespoons Vaseline for a delicious homemade lip balm.
  • Apply the juice of lemon skin for avoiding black color of lips
  • Massage your lips with coriander leaf juice for soft and rosy lips.

For Graying Hair

  • Take a little Mehendi, an egg, juice of half a lemon, one table spoon of instant coffee powder. Mix it together and apply on the hair. Wash it after 45 minutes.
  • Boil one cup of dried gooseberry with 4 cups of water. Add a pinch of sugar in it. Keep boiling till the quantity of the liquid reduces to one cup. Mix 2 cups of Mehendi, an egg, juice of a lemon and the gooseberry solution and apply on hair. Wash the hair after two hours.
    For pimples
    • Apply a mixture of turmeric and neem on the face.
    • A mixture of crushed mint leaves and oats will reduce pimples. Leave this for 20 minutes and wash it with warm water.
    • Mix thick curd, turmeric and two drops of oil. Apply on the face.
    • Crush garlic and take the juice and apply it on the face daily to reduce pimples
    • Make a paste with sandal wood and turmeric and apply it on the face.
    For Glowing skin
    • A facemask of egg white and honey gently removes the tan from your face.
    • Mix oats with honey, yogurt and ground almonds. Apply this on your face, leave it for five minutes and wash with lukewarm water.
    • Cucumber is a natural cleanser. Mix cucumber juice with milk and use it instead of a cleanser.
    • Take 1/3-cup cocoa, three teaspoons of heavy cream, 1/3-cup ripe papaya, 1/4-cup honey and three teaspoons of oatmeal powder. Mix it all together. Apply on your face. After 10 minutes, wash your face with warm water. This is best for oily skin
    • For oily skin, apply a mixture of grapes, lemon and egg white. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. While lemon acts as a natural cleanser, grapes will soften your skin and egg whites will tighten it. Don’t be alarmed if your skin tingles.
    • Cut the lemon and rub the wedge all over your face. Leave it for about 20 minutes, then rinse off with cold water. This will refresh your face. Avoid doing this if you have dry skin.
    • Mix honey, lemon and vegetable oil .This mixture is a good moisturizer for dry skin. Apply this mask for 10 minutes.
    • Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face. This will make your skin glow.
    • Prepare a mask by mixing a slice of pumpkin with egg yolk and milk. Let this mask set on your face for 30 minutes for a glowing skin.
    • Mix half-a-cup honey to your bathing water for soft and smooth skin.
 

kaftan wala cool look April 15, 2009

she ws wearing this long orange and cream  print kaftan. it had a v cut or a deep v neck.the same pattern repeats for hands too 3/4th hands.then a broad white cremaish color cloth type..hmm the canvas shoes..thoda gunny bags type wala belt.a yellowish creamish sphagetti inside.and black leggings full length and wooden chappal with beads of single line my fav wala which we get in our numaish.and no jewellery at all.the belt was oversized for her waist , but it was defining her figure properly and the loose kaftan got a really hep look with the funky belt

she was so enegertic and enthusiastic..must say on a high..was it bcoz of the confidence coming from the dress or the happiness tht it was the last class? anyway i liked her aura and her look
